Backplates
For pulls, we offer rectangular backplates in 4”, 6”, 8”, and 12” sizes. Backplates add an extra decorative element and also help protect your cabinetry’s finish from wear and scratches from repeated use.
Important Note On Unlacquered Finishes
Unlacquered brass finishes are often referred to as ‘living finishes.’ With no lacquer coating, the brass will naturally take on a beautiful aged patina over time. The rate at which this occurs can be affected by a number of factors from handling to humidity, and could vary among hardware pieces. For unlacquered polished brass, our most popular finish, use a brass cleaner to restore it to its original shine.

Material: Solid brass.
Hardware Finishes:
- Unlacquered polished brass: Our most popular finish, unlacquered polished brass, is often called a 'living finish'. With no lacquer coating, the brass will naturally take on a beautiful aged patina over time. The rate at which this occurs can be affected by a number of factors from handling to humidity, and could vary among hardware pieces. This finish is polished to a high shine and left unsealed.
- Aged brass: Lightly textured brass with a moderate patina that is sealed to prevent further change. This finish will stay static over time.
- Polished nickel: Polished nickel-plated brass. It’s polished to a high shine and sealed, making it highly resistant to tarnishing.
- Matte black: A stable, non-reactive coating that will protect your brass hardware. It's a matte finish with a lightly stippled appearance.

Use mild soap and water to clean your brass hardware. Dry it with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths/pads, alcohol, or products containing ammonia.
Keep in mind that unlacquered brass naturally develops a patina over time, which enhances its natural beauty. To restore unlacquered polished brass to its original shine, use a brass cleaner.
